Job summary

IAT Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Information Technology in Raleigh, NC, with responsibility for leading infrastructure strategy, delivery, and security across cloud, compute, storage, and network services. This role emphasizes disciplined execution, financial management, and cross-functional leadership to enable scalable, secure IT operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of IT infrastructure or security operations leadership experience
• Strong technical foundation across infrastructure engineering, architecture, or operations
• Proven track record of delivering infrastructure initiatives from strategy through execution
• Demonstrated ability to improve how work is planned, prioritized, and delivered across teams
• Ability to identify bottlenecks, manage competing priorities, and drive outcomes in complex environments
• Strong understanding of business risk and ability to make informed, risk-based decisions
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and executive audiences
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, security, and business partners
• Experience with vendor and contract management
• Broad understanding of modern infrastructure including cloud platforms, networking, end user computing, disaster recovery, and monitoring
• Strong organizational leadership capabilities with a focus on building high performing, accountable teams

• Infrastructure Strategy and Execution: Develop and support the infrastructure strategy and roadmap to ensure systems are highly available, scalable, and secure
• Operational Excellence and Delivery: Establish and monitor how infrastructure work flows across teams, identifying bottlenecks and areas of constraint
• Technology Leadership and Innovation: Oversee evaluation, selection, and implementation of infrastructure technologies that scale effectively and support long term needs
• Security and Risk Management: Partner with security to ensure architectures align to policies and standards
• Team and Organizational Leadership: Build and lead a high performing engineering organization
• Financial and Resource Management: Drive financial planning, forecasting, and expense management for infrastructure services
