Job summary

Morales Professional is seeking a Senior Information Technology Consultant to act as the top escalation resource across complex client environments. The role focuses on virtualization, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, identity, backup/DR, and security.

You will lead architecture, design, and problem-solving across VMware, Hyper-V/Azure Stack HCI, and Microsoft 365, while mentoring junior engineers and delivering client projects end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive IT infrastructure engineering experience (MSP/consulting).
• Strong VMware vSphere and Hyper-V/Azure Stack HCI administration experience.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 administration skills, incl. PowerShell.
• Deep Active Directory and Entra ID engineering experience, including hybrid identity and AD Connect.
• Experience with backup/DR platforms such as Veeam, Datto, Cove, or Azure Site Recovery.
• Solid networking fundamentals: VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the final internal escalation point for complex infrastructure and 365 issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis and drive permanent corrective actions.
• Architect, deploy, and support VMware vSphere, Hyper-V/Azure Stack HCI environments.
• Manage Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Defender, Purview, and compliance tools.
• Design and support Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, hybrid identity, MFA, conditional access, AD Connect, and identity governance.
• Engineer and maintain AD forests, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, cert services, trusts, and replication.
• Lead infrastructure migrations, tenant-to-tenant migrations, hardware refreshes, and datacenter consolidations.
• Scope and deliver client infrastructure projects from design and SOW through implementation and handoff.
• Create architecture diagrams, build documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-base content.
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide escalation support.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance and on-call rotation.
