Job summary

Morales Professional, a Morales Group company, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to act as the top escalation resource across complex client environments. You’ll focus on virtualization, M365, AD/Entra ID, identity, and backup/DR while guiding L1/L2 engineers and leading migrations.

You will participate in after-hours maintenance and on-call rotations, delivering design-to-implementation support and strong client communication in a fast-paced MSP setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive IT infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong VMware vSphere and Hyper‑V/Azure Stack HCI administration.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 administration and PowerShell skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the final escalation point for complex infrastructure and M365 issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Architect, deploy, and support VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V/Azure Stack HCI.
• Manage M365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and Defender.
• Design and support Entra ID/Azure AD, hybrid identity, MFA, and conditional access.
• Maintain Active Directory forests, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and certificate services.
• Lead migrations, hardware refreshes, and datacenter consolidations.
• Deliver client projects from design to handoff with documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in after-hours maintenance.

Our client, is a well-established managed services organization seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (L3) to serve as the top-tier escalation resource across complex client environments. This role combines advanced infrastructure engineering, project delivery, technical leadership, and client-facing problem solving, with a strong focus on virtualization, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, identity, backup/DR, and security.

What You’ll Do as a Sr Infrastructure Engineer:

• Serve as the final internal escalation point for complex infrastructure, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and identity issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis and drive permanent corrective actions for recurring technical issues.
• Architect, deploy, and support VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper‑V / Azure Stack HCI, and related compute environments.
• Manage Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Defender, Purview, and compliance tools.
• Design and support Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, hybrid identity, MFA, conditional access, AD Connect, and identity governance.
• Engineer and maintain Active Directory forests, domains, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, certificate services, trusts, and replication.
• Lead infrastructure migrations, tenant-to-tenant migrations, hardware refreshes, datacenter consolidations, and backup/DR initiatives.
• Scope and deliver client infrastructure projects from design and SOW through implementation and support handoff.
• Create architecture diagrams, build documentation, runbooks, and knowledge‑base content.
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide technical peer review, training, and escalation support.
• Participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance and an on‑call rotation as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of progressive IT infrastructure engineering experience, including 2+ years in an MSP, consulting, or multi-client environment.
• Strong VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper‑V / Azure Stack HCI administration experience.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 administration skills, including PowerShell and familiarity with Microsoft 365 admin centers.
• Deep Active Directory and Entra ID engineering experience, including hybrid identity and AD Connect.
• Strong Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and certificate services knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery platforms such as Veeam, Datto, Cove, or Azure Site Recovery.
• Solid networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and SD‑WAN concepts.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and bulk administration.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
