Job summary

Eaton is seeking an IT - Incident Response Engineer to join its Cyber Security Incident Response Team. The role involves identifying, analyzing, and responding to advanced cyber threats across on‑premises, hybrid, and multi‑cloud environments, with hands‑on incident response and automation to elevate the team’s capabilities.

The position focuses on cloud security, threat hunting, and developing AI-enabled workflows to accelerate triage, containment, and reporting, while protecting Eaton’s assets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum seven (7) years in security operations, incident response, cloud security, e‑Discovery, insider threat, security engineering or related field.
• No relocation assistance; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Beachwood, OH or Moon Township, PA.
• ITAR US person requirements; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Engineering, health, and continuous improvement of detection and response capabilities across cloud and on‑premises estates.
• Provide 24/7/365 incident response with on‑call rotation across global enterprise.
• Lead cloud security incident response across major platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Develop cloud-native detections and automation workflows to accelerate triage and containment.
• Maintain automated playbooks to reduce mean time to detect/respond.
