Job summary

Target is seeking a Sr. Technical Field Engineer for the Returns Center in Upper Marlboro, MD. You will oversee data center operations and IT systems, ensuring reliability and performance across the distribution center.

Responsibilities include managing vendor partners, supervising vendor SLAs, and maintaining infrastructure to standards. This role requires objectivity, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work 24/7 as needed, with on-site support at the distribution center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical aptitude and skills including network, server, telephone, and desktop experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of operations hardware and applications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage vendor partners.
• Strong reasoning, troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to adjust working hours and be on-call for escalations on a 24/7 basis.
• Ability to support other sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Daily Operations: Overall responsibility for distribution center data center operations and IT systems functions on a daily basis.
• Data Center Management: Maintain data centers to predefined standards and manage infrastructure.
• Vendor Management / Escalation: Manage vendor SLAs and provide training/onboarding for vendor technicians.
