Job summary

Motive is seeking a Senior Manager, IT Engineering to lead strategy, architecture, and execution across global IT capabilities. This hybrid role is based in San Francisco, Austin, Seattle, or Nashville, reporting to the Global Head of IT. You will balance reliability, security, and employee experience while guiding a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise with strong leadership and business judgment to shape engineering standards and operational maturity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT engineering, infrastructure, or related fields.
• 5+ years leading technical teams in global or high-growth settings.
• Expertise in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, networking, systems administration, automation and security.
• Proven ability to drive strategy from architecture to execution and set OKRs and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Set IT engineering strategy, roadmap, OKRs and resource plans.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve reliability, scalability and security.
• Define architecture principles, standards, and operating practices.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and guide buy vs build decisions.
• Establish performance metrics and documentation for better decision making.
• Develop the team through coaching and talent development.
