Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking an IT Senior Engineer, Software in Berlin, CT, to oversee product lifecycle from concept to delivery. You will collaborate with IT management, development teams, architecture and security, and vendors to implement technology solutions and improve processes for better performance.

The role requires five years of IT experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. A hybrid work option is available with regional travel between CT, MA, and NH up to 5% of the time.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field, and at least five years of experience in IT or a related occupation.
• Hybrid option to work from home with domestic travel 5% across CT/MA/NH.
• Salary range $147,430–$153,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Involved in the entire lifecycle of products, including capital projects and operational support.
• Proactively identify issues, problem solve and implement workable solutions.
• Engage with IT management, software development teams, IT architecture and security, and external vendors to ensure successful design, development, and delivery of technology-based solutions.
• Make improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of work area.
• Make software design decisions, identify risks and tradeoffs, and maintain legacy code where needed.
• Add scripts to simplify developer onboarding; work emergency restoration assignments as required.
