Job summary

Eversource is seeking an experienced software engineer in a hybrid role based in Massachusetts. The position focuses on designing and implementing large-scale systems, with emphasis on Maximo development within a utility context.

You will drive changes, manage releases, and collaborate across IT teams. Candidates should have 5–8 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and be willing to travel in the MA/CT/NH region as needed.

Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.Design and implement new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to business and/or technology changes. Engages directly with IT management, development teams, technical delivery teams, and vendors to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of technology-based solutions.Drive the software change and release management processes, assisting with the overall maturity of the software development lifecycle. Work independently with little supervision.
