Job summary

Next Perimeter in Tampa, FL is hiring a Senior IT Engineer to own client projects from scope to handoff and to serve as the final technical escalation point for our help desk. You’ll work hands-on on networks, migrations, and identity/security services while aligning with business goals.

You will lead Microsoft 365 migrations, implement modern security stacks, and mentor technicians on cloud identity, endpoint management, and networking.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT engineering or similar role.
• Mastery or close to it in the modern Microsoft and security stack: Microsoft Entra ID and Conditional Access for identity; Microsoft Intune with Autopilot, configuration profiles, and compliance policies.
• Led Microsoft 365 migrations and client onboardings; built networks including switching, VLANs, enterprise wireless, firewalls, and circuit cutovers.
• Proficient in PowerShell; can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and write clear handoff docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead client projects from signed scope to handoff, including network builds, wireless redesigns, and migrations.
• Serve as the final technical escalation point for the help desk while projects are live.
• Own the hardest tickets, determine root causes, implement fixes, and create standards or automations.
• Maintain client environments according to The IT & Security Blueprint and remediate drift.
• Mentor technicians on cloud identity, endpoint management, and networking.
