Job summary
TFIS LLC, a Chicago-based information technology consulting firm, is seeking an Information Technology Consultant. You will help clients with desktop, server, networking and security needs, performing onsite and remote support, with occasional evening or weekend work and opportunities for continuing education.
This role requires several years of IT experience, strong problem solving, and ability to work independently while liaising with vendors and clients.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar.
- Relevant software certifications are a plus (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, CompTIA).
- Experience with desktop, server, networking, and security.
- Strong client communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Support a diverse client base with desktop, server, networking, and security needs.
- Interact with clients via onsite office visits, home visits, and remote support.
- Assist in liason with vendors and manage project budgets and timelines.
- Document processes, standards, and procedures for client systems.
- Generate billable hours and contribute to ongoing service improvements.
