Job summary

Axiom Path, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior IT Business Analyst III with SQL and requirements engineering to bridge business needs and technology delivery.

You will lead complex analysis initiatives across multiple applications, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure solutions meet business objectives. This six-month contract offers hybrid onsite work (Mon-Thu in Charlotte, Fri remote) with extension opportunities through 2027.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of IT business analysis, systems analysis, technology delivery, data analysis, or business process improvement.
• Hands-on SQL experience: independently write, read, and interpret SQL SELECT statements.
• Experience eliciting and documenting complex business and functional requirements.
• Experience developing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
• Ability to lead requirements discovery and analysis for complex initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to translate objectives into technology solutions.
• Strong Agile, SDLC, and requirements management knowledge.
• Onsite in Charlotte, NC, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end business analysis for medium-to-large technology initiatives, including discovery, requirements definition, solution evaluation, and implementation support.
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements sessions to understand business needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive business requirements, functional specs, user stories, processes, and acceptance criteria.
• Write, analyze, and interpret SQL queries to investigate data, validate business rules, and support system analysis.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, architects, and QA teams to evaluate options and resolve ambiguities.
• Analyze current and future state processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements for efficiency.
• Support Agile delivery practices: backlog refinement, story mapping, sprint planning, release validation.
• Lead UAT activities: test scenarios, traceability, defect investigation, and business validation.
• Analyze data flows, integration requirements, and application dependencies for enterprise systems and reporting.
• Communicate findings through presentations and documentation; mentor junior analysts.
