Job summary

University of Southern California's Capital Campus in Washington, DC seeks a Senior IT Administrator to manage day-to-day IT and AV operations, support tenants and events, and coordinate with LA IT teams for standards and documentation. The role owns operational readiness, escalation, and system health across campus IT and AV environments.

The position emphasizes event support, Annenberg Studio operations, and network/connectivity stewardship, with a strong focus on customer service and security

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of and experience with systems administration, backups, operating systems programming languages and associated hardware platforms.
• Experience supporting events and live production environments, broadcast, studio AV or media systems operations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across signal flow, control and user workflow issues.
• Experience supporting macOS and Windows endpoints, plus basic server and storage administration.
• Ability to work calmly and professionally with high-visibility clients and last-minute schedule pressure.
• Strong documentation habits, including checklists, change logs and clear escalation notes.

Responsibilities

• Event Support (50% time): onsite AV management and support for client and internal events; advise clients on venue AV capabilities; oversee setup, checks, and post-event deliverables.
