Job summary

BigID seeks a Senior IT Operations Engineer to build automation across tools and clouds, own identity and access, and improve security posture. You will act as a primary automation architect, bridging gaps between multiple platforms, and drive CI/CD-driven deployments with a DevOps mindset.

You will lead projects from specification to rollout, handle service desk escalations, and coordinate with teams including Security and R&D to keep systems scalable, reliable, and secure.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT operations, DevOps, cloud engineering, or IAM engineering.
• Hands-on Okta administration, including Workflows, and Auth0 actions/rules.
• Experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, IAM) and GCP (BigQuery, IAM).
• Experience building integrations with iPaaS tools like Workato.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Go, Node.js).
• Knowledge of Terraform or Pulumi and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
• Familiarity with Claude or other LLM tools and related connectors.

Responsibilities

• Automation and integration: own automation in AWS and GCP defined as code and deployed via CI/CD.
• Own Okta Workflows and other automation engines; manage REST APIs and webhooks.
• Write scripts and support integrations with Salesforce, Slack, Jira, and data warehouse.
• Host and govern MCP servers and AI tooling connectors with security considerations.
• Identity and access: administer Okta/Auth0, MFA, SCIM, and joiner/mover/leaver processes.
• Security and edge: manage DNS, WAF, and email authentication; support Cloudfront hosting.
• Workplace tools: manage Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Slack; handle escalations and vendor support.
