Job summary

Cook County is seeking an IT Auditor to design, plan, and execute IT audit programs based on risk assessments across departments. You will lead engagements, document findings, and communicate results to senior leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices.

The role requires advanced knowledge of NIST, COBIT, ISO standards, and CAAT techniques, with a focus on risk mitigation and governance across the County’s IT environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, CS, Accounting or related field.
• Four years IT auditing or related experience.
• Active certifications: CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CPA.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement IT audit programs based on risk assessments.
• Lead IT audit engagements and provide guidance on technology risk.
• Document findings and prepare audit reports for senior leadership.
• Monitor and verify corrective actions and follow-up on recommendations.
