Job summary

Cook County Government seeks a Senior IT Auditor to design and lead IT audit programs based on risk assessments. You will plan, execute, and document audits, evaluating IT systems for risks and controls and reporting to bureau heads and senior leadership.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with NIST, COBIT, ISO standards and coordinating with IT professionals to implement best practices across the County. Position may include a signing bonus and requires relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a directly related field is required.
• Four (4) years as an IT Auditor or directly related experience is required.
• Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
• In good standing as one of the following certifications is required: CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CPA.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement IT audit programs based on risk assessments.
• Plan and lead IT audit engagements and provide IT guidance for technology risk.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of IT systems and processes to identify potential risks and control weaknesses.
• Document findings, prepare audit reports, and communicate results to leadership.
