Cook County Government is seeking an experienced auditor to perform diverse financial, compliance, and operational audits across county agencies. You will help develop audit plans, draft audit programs, and prepare management letters while ensuring timely, within-budget audits. The role involves data gathering, interviewing, and communicating results to leadership.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Two years in audit, accounting, finance, compliance, risk control, or related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

• Perform diverse and complex financial, compliance, and operational audits of County agencies or businesses.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop audit plans, objectives, and scopes.
• Prepare audit programs and reports, and ensure audits finish on time and within budget.
• Gather and analyze evidence to reach audit conclusions.
• Communicate results of audits to leadership.
