Delta Dental of California in Oakland, CA is seeking a Senior IT Auditor responsible for technical audits of information systems operations and computerized systems under the guidance of the Manager and/or VP of Internal Audit. The role includes occasional supervision of staff in a limited capacity and internal control consulting on special projects.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks, systems and applications.
• Good organizational/time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong computer skills to obtain, analyze and present data to management.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to formulate recommendations for improvement and communicate to management.

Responsibilities

• Examines and evaluates the integrity of electronic information systems, hardware and software, and networks.
• Supervises staff in limited assignments
• Prepares complex computer-generated reports and analyses
• Examines and evaluates the effective use of enterprise resources
• Reviews compliance with laws, regulations, corporate policies
• Develops and proposes recommendations for control and/or efficiency improvements
• Reports on the results of audits, including recommendations and management responses thereto
• Responds to inquiries from external auditors (e.g., CPA, regulatory, group)
