Job summary

The City of New York ITS, part of DSS, seeks a Senior IT Architect to shape enterprise architecture for DSS systems and digital platforms. You will translate business needs into target-state architecture, standards, and implementation guidance for HRA, DHS, and related programs, helping ensure reliability and scalability at scale.

Responsibilities include leading architecture planning for major DSS initiatives, conducting product evaluations, and guiding cloud and API strategies.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and six years of related full-time experience in enterprise architecture or equivalent.
• Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree and ten years of related experience.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to the two above options.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and present enterprise solution architecture artifacts for DSS systems and platforms.
• Lead architecture planning for major DSS initiatives and provide design and implementation guidance.
• Evaluate products and provide technical assessments for cloud, APIs, microservices, and related frameworks.
