Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a Senior ISSO to lead information security for a large software development and integration program in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will implement security policies, manage IAVA responses, and maintain IA posture across complex IT environments.

The role requires extensive ISSO experience, strong collaboration, and a current TS/SCI with polygraph. You will work with security professionals to mitigate threats and ensure compliance across the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years as ISSO in diverse environments.
• Minimum 5 years with IAVA management tools.
• Minimum 5 years with SSPs and security documentation.
• Experience evaluating security for software systems.
• Experience enforcing security policies on large programs.
• Experience day-to-day operations of large information systems.
• Strong self-initiative and team player.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Active TS/SCI with current polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist in evaluating security solutions to meet requirements for processing multiple types of information.
• Assist with Configuration Management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and develop best-practice methodologies for incident detection, reporting, and remediation.
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, and network devices.
• Evaluate security solutions to meet requirements for processing information.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems.
• Support ISSM in maintaining appropriate IA posture for systems/enclaves.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Certification & Accreditation.
• Develop and update system security plans and IA documentation.
• Support IAVA management and related security updates.
