Job summary

Prodigy One, LLC is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for a large software development program in Annapolis Junction, MD. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required. You will develop and implement security strategies, manage IAVAs, and ensure compliance with DoD and program policies.

The role involves enforcing security policies, maintaining SSPs, and supporting the ISSM to preserve a strong IA posture across domains and enclaves.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years as ISSO in diverse environments.
• At least 5 years supporting IAVA management.
• At least 5 years SSPs and security documentation experience.
• Experience with DoD 8570 compliance requirements.
• Experience in large software or IT programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist in evaluating security solutions to meet requirements for processing multiple information types.
• Assist with Configuration Management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and develop methodologies for incident detection, reporting, and remediation.
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, and network devices.
• Evaluate security solutions to meet security requirements for processing information.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems.
• Support ISSM in maintaining appropriate IA posture for the system.
• Develop and maintain Certification & Accreditation documentation.
• Develop and update system security plans and IA documentation.
• Provide support for IAVAs management (responses, scans, remediation, patches).
• Provide CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware.
• Develop system security policy and ensure compliance.
• Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms.
