Job summary

J&T is seeking a Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for a large software development program in Maryland. You will support security policies, evaluate security solutions, manage configuration for security software/hardware, and help maintain the IA posture for the system.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph, and extensive experience in IAVA management and SSP documentation. A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years as an ISSO in independent or team roles.
• At least 5 years using IAVA management tools.
• At least 5 years maintaining SSPs and security documentation.
• Experience evaluating security for software systems or architectures.
• Experience enforcing information systems security policies on large programs.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist in evaluating security solutions to meet requirements for multiple information types.
• Assist with Configuration Management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and develop/implement best practices for incident detection and remediation.
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, switches, etc., including upgrades.
• Evaluate security solutions to meet information processing requirements.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems.
• Support ISSM in maintaining appropriate IA posture for a system/program/enclave.
• Develop and update Certification & Accreditation documentation.
• Develop system security plans and other IA documentation.
• Support IAVA management (scans, remediation, patches to designated sites).
• Provide CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware.
• Develop system security policy and ensure compliance.
• Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms.
