Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, California, is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) onsite to support DoD- and government-related cybersecurity work, aligned with NIST SPs, DAAPM, JSIG and NISPOM.

You will monitor compliance, investigate security incidents, assist with documentation, and pursue Security+ or equivalent within six months. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience.
• Relevant Experience Considered in any combination: Cybersecurity, systems security or hardening; Information Technology; Compliance-based auditing using RMF/DAAPM/JSIG/NISPOM/PCI/ISO 9001/HIPPA; Experience with computer technologies; Physical security; Project or program management; Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring system compliance, auditing, security plan development and delivering information systems security education and awareness.
• Investigating information system security violations and help prepare reports specifying corrective and preventative actions.
• Reviewing and approving configuration management requests.
• Conducting technical and administrative assessments.
• Integrating new cybersecurity processes, procedures, and tools.
• Support the creation, review and update of cybersecurity documentation and other technical writing.
• Important note: obtain and maintain Security+ or equivalent within six months of hire.
