Job summary

RTX is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support our security program at the El Segundo facility. This role is 100% onsite, reporting to the ISSM, and focuses on compliance, auditing, and security plan development for government systems.

You will work with DoD classified environments, RMF/JSIG/NISPOM frameworks, and must obtain a Security+ or equivalent certification within six months of hire. Citizenship and clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• University degree or advanced degree in a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance prior to start.
• Experience with RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, NISPOM and related standards.
• Experience auditing physical security, network and system event logs, password administration and access privileges.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure system compliance, audit readiness, and security plan development.
• Deliver information system security education and awareness.
• Investigate information system security violations and prepare corrective action reports.
• Collaborate with facility security, program personnel, and government representatives.
• Perform security sustainment activities (hardware/software change management, account management, media protection, etc.).
