Job summary

Unknown in Maryland is seeking a Senior ISSO to serve as the ISSO for a large software development program. The role covers security policy enforcement, risk management, and lifecycle security across IT networks and systems.

The candidate will lead security evaluations, maintain SSPs, and coordinate with the ISSM on IA posture and IAVA management. A strong track record in large programs and active clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 10 years of ISSO experience in secure environments.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience using tools to support IAVA management.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience with SSPs and security documentation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of security tools, cryptography, and encryption techniques.
• Experience evaluating software/architectures for security requirements.
• Experience coordinating and enforcing security policies on large programs.
• Experience day-to-day security operations of large information systems.
• Must be committed to best practices and self-initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Active TS/SCI with current polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies.
• Assist in evaluating security solutions meeting requirements for multiple information types.
• Assist with configuration management for security software, hardware and firmware.
• Analyze threats and implement best practices for incident detection and remediation.
• Maintain records for workstations, servers, routers, and other devices.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems.
• Support ISSM in maintaining IA posture for systems/enclaves.
• Develop and maintain Certification & Accreditation documentation.
• Develop system security plans and IA documentation.
• Support IAVA management and remediation activities.
