Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in Annapolis Junction, MD to lead security for a large software development program. You will develop and enforce security policies, manage IAVA, maintain SSPs, and coordinate with ISSMs to sustain an approved IA posture across systems and enclaves.

The role requires a TS/SCI with polygraph, 10+ years ISSO experience, and deep knowledge of security tools, encryption, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 8+ years' experience; degree substitution allowed.
• Top secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• 10+ years ISSO experience in various environments.
• 5+ years IAVA management experience.
• 5+ years SSP and security documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing multiple types of information.
• Assist with Configuration Management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and develop and implement best practice methodologies for incident detection, reporting, and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, intelligent hubs, network switches, etc., including system upgrades.
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing information.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems.
• Provide support to the ISSM for maintaining appropriate operational IA posture.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Certification & Accreditation per policy.
• Develop and update system security plans and other IA documentation.
• Provide support for IAVA management (initiating IAVA responses and patches).
• Provide CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware.
• Develop system security policy and ensure compliance.
• Administer the user identification and authentication mechanisms.
