Job summary

GDIT is seeking an Information Security Officer to maintain the security posture of information systems, coordinating with the ISSM and ISO across SAP environments for DoD agencies. The role involves day-to-day operations, risk assessment, and documentation management, with travel and onsite requirements in the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• SAP experience required.
• Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator, or ISSO.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media are in place.
• Notify ISSM when changes affect authorization determinations.
• Conduct periodic reviews for security compliance.
• Coordinate changes to hardware/software with ISSM/AO/DAO.
• Monitor recovery processes to ensure security features function.
• Ensure security documentation is current and accessible.
• Audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented.
• Attend required technical and security training.
• Execute cyber security portions of self-inspections.
• Identify vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
• Prepare reports on security safeguards.
