Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to maintain the security posture of information systems and coordinate with the ISSM and ISO. The role involves DoD SAP programs and day-to-day security operations, including containment of physical security, incident handling, and awareness training.

The position requires TS/SCI clearance (ability to attain TS/SCI with CI Poly), bachelor’s or equivalent education plus experience, SASP experience, and IAT Level II or

Qualifications

• 2+ years related experience.
• SAP experience is required.
• Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator, or ISSO is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures are in place for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media.
• Notify ISSM of changes affecting authorization determinations.
• Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with security authorization packages.
• Coordinate hardware/software/firmware changes with ISSM and AO/DAO before changes.
• Monitor recovery processes to ensure security features are restored.
• Ensure security documentation is current and accessible.
• Ensure audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented.
• Attend required technical and security training related to duties.
• Execute cyber security portions of self-inspections and provide coordination.
• Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
• Prepare status reports on security safeguards.
