Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support DoD SSP program offices. The ISSO will oversee cybersecurity for non-enterprise systems and travel regularly to SPHQ and field activities, ensuring proper security posture and authorization packages.

The role requires a BS in Cybersecurity/CS/CE, a Security+ or equivalent, and an active TS clearance with US citizenship. Travel about 40% and collaboration with program offices, contractors, and engineers are key aspects of

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level cybersecurity/engineering degree or equivalent.
• Security+ or equivalent certification.
• Ability to work with large, technical teams.
• Must have active US Government TS clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems are accredited and procedures are in place.
• Maintain residual cybersecurity risk within acceptable levels.
• Develop and update cybersecurity documentation.
• Implement SSP responses to DoD IAVAs/IAVBs.
• Initiate investigations for security events and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with URs and ISSM on incidents and authorization packages.
• Collaborate in engineering reviews and develop system security plans.
