Commence is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead security assessment, authorization, and continuous-monitoring for federal programs. You will collaborate with CIO, engineers, and compliance teams to maintain ATO readiness across CMS, VA, DHA, IRS, and DHS programs. The role requires 5+ years in information assurance or cybersecurity, 3+ years as ISSO/A&A lead, and U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of information assurance or cybersecurity experience.
• At least 3+ years as an ISSO or A&A lead for federal information systems.
• Experience with NIST RMF, SP 800-53, and IS2P2/ARS.
• Ability to author SSPs, POA&M, and supporting documentation.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal Public Trust.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the designated ISSO for assigned federal systems.
• Coordinate with CIO, Cybersecurity Engineers, and Compliance Analysts.
• Manage ATO processes from categorization to reauthorization.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, risk assessments, and POA&M.
• Lead agency assessments and evidence collection.
• Ensure compliance with CMS ARS, IS2P2, VA 6500, DFARS, and NIST SP 800-171.
• Prepare incident response plans and security documentation.
• Provide internal audit support and cross-functional collaboration.
