Job summary

KaylaTek is seeking an ISSE to provide cyber security and security engineering services for the NMCC customer at the Pentagon. The role involves system security engineering, cybersecurity risk assessments, and security architecture support.

Responsibilities include building, deploying, patching HBSS/ACAS environments, managing ePO/Security Center/Nessus, and ensuring compliance with STIG/regulatory requirements. On-site work is required in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Active CompTIA Security+ CE (8140 compliant).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering including design and architecture.
• Proven ability to identify security risks across OS, hardware, and data transfer protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform or review security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Identify non-compliance with cybersecurity standards and recommend mitigations.
• Build, deploy, and patch HBSS Windows and ACAS Red Hat Linux 7.9/8 servers.
• Maintain and patch ePO, Security Center, and Nessus servers.
• Provide Security Center accounts for Vulnerability Managers to scan devices.
• Remediate vulnerabilities using ACAS scan results and guidance.
• Obtain licenses for HBSS ePOs and Tenable Security Centers.
• Kickstart HBSS and ACAS ISOs from DISA.
