Job summary

J T, a leading IP litigation team in the United States, seeks a midlevel or senior associate to represent clients in patent disputes involving electronics, semiconductors, ICs, and mechanical devices. The role offers opportunities in federal courts, the ITC, and PTAB proceedings, with a focus on complex, high-stakes cases.

Qualified candidates have a CS/EE degree, 4+ years in patent litigation, and admission or eligibility to practice law.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Approximately four or more years of patent litigation experience.
• PTAB or ITC experience is a plus.
• Must be licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Ability to manage substantial responsibilities on complex matters and work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing patents and preparing invalidity and infringement contentions.
• Developing case strategy and working with technical experts.
• Drafting briefs and other substantive filings, managing discovery, and preparing witnesses.
• Taking and defending depositions and contributing to hearings and trial preparation.
• Working directly with clients and collaborating with colleagues across offices.
