Overview

• The Patent Litigation team within the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group comprises over 70 litigators handling complex disputes where clients’ core products may be at stake, bringing trial and appellate experience across major patent jurisdictions, and coordinating district court litigation and ITC actions with PTAB proceedings; more than half the team holds an engineering or scientific degree.
• This role involves representing clients in patent disputes across technologies such as electronic devices, semiconductors, integrated circuits, and mechanical devices, with opportunities to work on matters in federal district courts, the ITC, and before the PTAB.
• Key responsibilities include analyzing patents, preparing invalidity and infringement contentions, developing case strategy, collaborating with technical experts, drafting briefs and other substantive filings, managing discovery, preparing and taking/defending depositions, contributing to hearings and trial preparation, and direct client interaction.
• Candidates must possess a degree in computer science or electrical engineering.
• While district court patent litigation experience is required, experience with PTAB or International Trade Commission matters is a strong plus.
