Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Counsel Intellectual Property Litigation to manage U.S. and international patent disputes and drive strategy with in-house and outside counsel. You will engage in discovery, motions, trial prep, and potentially appeals while aligning IP work with Amgen's scientific goals.

You will collaborate with diverse teams, mentor junior lawyers, and support Amgen's mission to serve patients through innovative medicines. Remote work options are available in the U.S.

Qualifications

• J.D. or LL.M. degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• Four years of experience practicing Intellectual Property law.
• Preferred: seven years of patent dispute litigation experience, incl. biotech matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in all aspects of U.S. and international patent disputes in court and tribunals.
• Develop and drive case strategies with outside counsel and in-house teams.
• Handle discovery, motion practice, trial prep, and appeals as needed.
• Counsel on intellectual property strategies aligned with Amgen's business and research.
