This role defends and advances SIE's IP portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights, with leadership opportunities to mentor the legal team and explore AI-enabled strategies.

Candidates should bring 12+ years of IP litigation experience, CA Bar eligibility or admission, and a track record of partnering with executives on dispute risk management within a global

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
• California Bar membership preferred or eligible for Registered In-House Counsel in California.
• 12+ years of IP litigation experience in federal and state courts, with at least 4 years at a law firm.
• Experience advising business leaders on dispute resolution and risk mitigation.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead cutting-edge IP litigation with outside counsel.
• Respond to subpoenas and information requests for IP matters.
• Strategize with leadership on risks, pre-litigation, and ongoing IP disputes.
• Help develop policies, playbooks and guidelines.
• Collaborate with global teams on international disputes and risk assessments.
• Mentor and train attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
