Job summary

Danaher Diagnostics seeks a Sr. IP Counsel to lead patent and trademark activities and provide freedom-to-operate counseling across products. You will collaborate with R&D and outside counsel, ensuring robust IP protection in a fast-paced environment.

The role reports to the Chief IP Counsel and offers a remote work arrangement with competitive compensation and bonus potential. An annual salary range is provided, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited U.S. law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Admission to practice before the USPTO.
• 8+ years IP legal experience including patent prosecution & IP agreements.
• BS in Computer Science, AI, or related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with R&D to identify IP opportunities and protection strategies.
• Provide full-range patent support and FTO studies.
• Monitor third-party patent activity and competitive IP positioning.
• Manage open-source software components, license reviews and security vetting.
• Oversee trademark portfolio filing strategy, prosecution, renewals, and enforcement.
