Guardant Health, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Intellectual Property Counsel to drive our patent portfolio and guide IP strategy across oncology diagnostics.

You will work closely with scientists and leadership to safeguard innovations and translate research into protective filings. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, robust patent prosecution, and strategic counseling in a fast-changing, data-driven environment for cancer diagnostics.

Formación

• Juris Doctorate from a nationally accredited law school.
• Registration with the USPTO and membership in a state bar.
• 7+ years of patent prosecution experience in biotech or pharma.
• Experience drafting, prosecuting, and reviewing patent disclosures and applications for genomic data.
• Familiarity with NGS methods and cancer genomics concepts.
• Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator.

Responsabilidades

• Build and manage a global patent portfolio, drafting and prosecuting applications.
• Collaborate with IP Team to shape global patent/IP strategy.
• Perform infringement and validity analyses and advise on risk.
• Educate scientists on patent matters and link IP to R&D.
• Coordinate with outside counsel for IP protection.
• Provide strategic IP counseling across research and product development.
