Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a senior corporate accountant to lead advanced accounting activities for U.S. business units, with a focus on finished goods inventory, obsolescence, COGS, and reserve models.

Qualifications

• Five to six years of corporate accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of finished goods inventory, obsolescence, COGS and reserve calculations.
• Experience with month-end and quarter-end closing, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance in a controlled environment.
• Familiarity with SEC reporting and internal/external audits is a plus.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, with effective communication across teams.
• Experience with accounting systems, subledger interfaces, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage advanced accounting activities and analyses supporting monthly and quarterly reporting for U.S. business units, focusing on inventory, obsolescence, COGS, and reserve models.
• Execute month-end and quarter-end closing procedures, including journal entries and monitoring subledger interfaces.
• Analyze inventory balances, valuation adjustments, and reserve calculations for accurate reporting.
• Perform accounting analyses related to royalty expenses, ensuring assets and liabilities are GAAP-compliant.
• Review staff journal entries for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Conduct variance and flux analyses, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Adhere to SOX requirements and internal controls; prepare audit documentation.
• Collaborate with domestic and international affiliates and cross-functional finance teams to ensure consistent reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen internal controls.
