Job summary

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital is seeking a Senior Special Procedure Tech to support heart and vascular procedures. The role involves direct patient care before, during, and after procedures, assisting physicians, and providing patient education.

On-site at Royal Oak with day shift hours. Requirements include an associate degree in cardiovascular technology or related field, ARRT credentials, and 3+ years of IR experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Cardiovascular technology/basic science required.
• Paramedic License, Exercise Physiologist, training and/or education required.
• Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT).
• 3 years of relevant experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist required.
• Expert in clinical skills and able to train others in listed skills.
• Must be on-site within 30 minutes. IR Call response time may vary by facility.
• ARRT credentials (R, VI, CI) required upon hire.
• ACLS/BLS as applicable upon hire or hiring
• Excellent computer, math, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures.
• Assist physicians and ensure patient/family education during procedures.
• Perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, and document procedures.
• Manage vascular access sites and support multiple departments as needed.
