Job summary

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital seeks a Lead Special Procedure Tech to support heart and vascular procedures in a fast-paced cath lab environment. You will provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care, ensure equipment readiness, perform IV starts, sedation monitoring, and patient education, while coordinating with physicians and staff.

The role is full-time, days, on-site at Dearborn, MI, with weekend on-call.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Required Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT).
• CRT-Radiologist Technologist Registration-ARRT; CHE/IR required upon hire or as specified.
• CRT-Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) ARRT; CHS/CHE IR required upon hire.
• CRT-Cardio Vascular Imaging (CI) ARRT; CHS preferred/CHE IR required upon hire.
• RCIS/RCES/Cardiology-specific registrations may be required upon hire.
• ACLS/BLS certifications required upon hire.
• BLS certification required by ASC/ARC, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead role providing direct care pre, intra, and post for Heart and Vascular procedures.
• Ensure physician has required equipment and imaging support.
• Perform IV starts, patient prep, conscious sedation monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment; document procedures; educate patients and families.
