Job summary

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is seeking a Special Procedure Tech to support Heart and Vascular procedures. You will assist physicians, start IVs, monitor hemodynamics, and help with patient preparation and education in a fast-paced cath/IR laboratory.

The role offers full-time daytime shifts with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for external hires, and a comprehensive benefits package. On-site work at Dearborn Hospital in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training.
• Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT).
• Cath Lab/EP Lab requires graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program.
• 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab or IR is required.
• ARRT credentials (R/IR, VI, CI, RCIS, RCES) required or in process.
• ACLS/BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and deliver patient/family centered care.
• May perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, vascular access site management, and provide patient/family education.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

Education

Associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science

Paramedic license

Exercise Physiologist

Accredited radiography program (JRCERT)

Cardiovascular Technologist program (Cath Lab/EP Lab)

1 year of EP/Cath Lab/IR experience

ARRT credentials (R/IR, VI, CI, RCIS, RCES)
