Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking an Apprentice in Interventional Radiology at Royal Oak Hospital. You will assist with IR exams, prep patients, and maintain sterile technique under physician supervision. The role starts with a Monday–Friday schedule and on-call weekends as required.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will transition to a full schedule of Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with approximately every fifth weekend on call.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Associate’s degree-Graduated from accredited Radiography program required
• CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration-ARRT Upon Hire-Required.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required OR
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) American Red Cross Upon Hire Required.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, perform diagnostic Interventional Radiology (IR) exams with appropriate imaging equipment.
• Provide the best possible images for interpretation while applying ALARA radiation protection principles.
• The Apprentice may be required to perform IV starts and prep patients.
• Scrub in with the interventional physician, practice sterile technique, and assist with procedures.
