Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking an Experienced professional for the Internal Controls Advisory Services team. You will support internal controls assessments, advisory engagements, and remediation activities under guidance from senior team members.

The role emphasizes a disciplined approach to risk management, documentation, and testing, with a hybrid in-office schedule. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience are required; healthcare industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HS diploma with 4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Minimum 3 years in internal audit, internal controls, risk advisory, compliance, SOX, or related field
• Working knowledge of internal controls, risk assessment, process documentation, and control testing
• Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and communicate observations clearly and professionally
• Strong organization and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, hybrid environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• CPA, CIA, CISA or progress toward certification preferred
• Experience in health insurance or healthcare industry preferred
