Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking an Internal Controls Advisory Services professional to support internal controls assessments, advisory engagements, and remediation activities under the guidance of senior team members.

This hybrid role requires in-office collaboration twice weekly, with flexibility based on business needs. Relevant certifications are preferred and prior experience in internal controls or related fields is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Requires a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience in internal audit, internal controls, risk advisory, compliance, SOX, or a related field
• Working knowledge of internal controls, risk assessment, process documentation, and control testing
• Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and communicate observations clearly and professionally
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and business partners in a dynamic, hybrid environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• CPA, CIA, CISA, or progress toward a relevant certification preferred
• Experience in the health insurance or healthcare industry preferred
