Job summary

Pomelo Care is seeking a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to lead strategy, organizational updates, and operational changes for frontline teams and the broader company across the United States. This role centers on two responsibilities: clear communication of clinical and operational updates and supporting recurring company-wide communications.

The position reports to the VP, People and can be based anywhere in the continental US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in internal communications or executive communications.
• Clear and direct communicator with a preference for plain language over corporate jargon.
• Editorial backbone with the ability to challenge senior leaders and refine messaging.
• Deep empathy and ability to write for a diverse audience in a fast-paced setting.
• Systems thinker who can develop templates, frameworks and guiding principles.

Responsibilities

• Own the content strategy, agenda, and speaker prep for all-company forums and updates; ensure content is clear, digestible, and impactful.
• Partner with executive leadership and PR for change management, aligning internal and external messaging.
• Define a framework to determine appropriate levels of communication based on scale, complexity, and sensitivity.
• Act as the communications air traffic controller to ensure visibility into rollout plans and problem solving.
• Manage a comprehensive communications calendar to sequence updates deliberately.
• Create resources to empower staff to communicate in a clear, brand-aligned way.
