Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Lead Interiors Payloads Support Engineer to guide the Interiors Materials & Processes efforts for the 787 program. The role requires leadership of an engineering team and deep knowledge of composites, metals, finishes and fasteners, with coordination across design, production and supplier qualification.

The position entails travel and oversight of material and process definition, drawing interpretation, and implementation of new tools and technologies to meet cost, schedule,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
• 10+ years experience supporting the production system.
• 10+ years experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• 5+ years experience leading an engineering team.
• 5+ years experience with composites, metals, finishes or fasteners.

Responsibilities

• Lead others, establish work statements, define strategies and provide consultation with peers.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with material and process requirements and objectives.
• Support design engineering in material and process definition for Interiors components and flight deck structures.
• Develop tests to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes.
• Lead evaluation and integration of emerging technologies and communicate across diverse teams.
