Job summary

Boeing Commercial Airplanes Materials & Processes (BCA M&P) seeks an Experienced or Senior Level Interiors Payloads Support Engineer (Level 3 or 4) to provide engineering support to the 787 Program in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role requires knowledge of Interiors materials and processes used in aerospace.

You will support design engineers, review drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure material and process compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
5+ years experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Experience with composites, metals, finishes, or fasteners.
Experience interpreting engineering drawings or specifications.

Responsibilities

Support design engineers in material and process definition and selection for Interiors components and flight deck structures.
Review drawings and specifications for compliance with material and process requirements.
Understand requirements to support material design consultation, production and fleet support.
Communicate with cross-functional teams to evaluate technical information affecting design, production and support.
Develop tests to qualify new tools, materials, parts and processes.
Qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
Integrate new materials and processes as appropriate.
Apply safety, LEAN and quality principles to materials and processes.
