Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an intermediate Interior Designer to join a multi-disciplinary team across the United States, with preference for candidates who can work in one of our locations. You will collaborate with design and technical leadership and participate in project teams from programming through construction administration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Interior Design and a minimum of 6 years of experience, with a strong portfolio and proficiency in Revit, Enscape,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
• 6+ years of related experience in interior design.
• Strong furniture planning, specification, and procurement experience preferred.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating planning, specification, and implementation.
• NCIDQ certification preferred.
• Must be design-focused, independent, and analytical.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project goals through all phases: programming to construction administration.
• Evaluate client needs and document design objectives with emphasis on furniture planning.
• Coordinate FF&E design and vendor coordination across disciplines.
• Develop interior space designs: floor plans, elevations, details, finishes.
• Produce drawings meeting time, budget, and quality constraints.
• Assist in project planning, meetings, and budget tracking.
• Mentor junior interior design staff; lead lessons learned sessions.
• Ensure adherence to CannonDesign drawing standards and QA processes.
• Participate in site visits, submittal reviews, and shop drawing reviews.
