Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an experienced Architect to lead design development, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and ensure integration across project deliverables. The role emphasizes design excellence, client communication, and adherence to codes and standards.

Candidates should have a US architectural license, 8+ years of experience, and proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Active architectural registration in the United States is required or equivalent licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• CDT and LEED accreditation are preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes and related requirements is essential.
• Strong communication, analytical, and coordination abilities are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead elements of design, production, coordination, and detailing within a multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate with engineers/consultants; support design leadership to carry through design intent.
• Prepare design sketches for moderate to complex site plans.
• Communicate project status, design intent, and construction updates to owners, consultants, and clients.
• Participate in Business Development activities with Marketing and Office Leadership.
• Perform field site observations including on-site walkthroughs.
• Integrate performance-based and sustainable design strategies where feasible.
• Contribute to QA/QC to meet statutory and project requirements.
• Foster a design and technical excellence environment and mentor junior staff.
• Provide guidance to interns and less experienced team members.
