Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an intermediate interior designer to join our multi-disciplinary team in Kentucky. You will collaborate with design and technical leadership and guide furniture planning, space layouts, and documentation through all project phases from programming to construction administration.

The role requires a strong portfolio, 6+ years of related experience, proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, and NCIDQ preferred. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required.
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
• Relevant furniture planning, specification, and procurement experience strongly preferred.
• Strong furniture/interior design portfolio demonstrating planning, specification, and implementation experience preferred.
• Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
• Must be design focused, independent thinker and analytical.
• Strong portfolio and communications, teamwork, presentation, graphics, and organizational skills essential.
• Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
• Travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project goals through all phases under Senior Interior Designer.
• Evaluate client needs and document design objectives and spatial requirements with a focus on furniture planning.
• Coordinate furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) across all phases.
• Coordinate design work and code compliance with other disciplines.
• Develop interior designs with focus on furniture design: floor plans, elevations, finishes.
• Independently evaluate materials and consult with vendors.
• Produce drawings meeting time, budget, and quality constraints.
• Assist in project planning and budgeting; participate in client meetings.
• Mentor and supervise interior design staff; lead lessons learned sessions.
• Follow CannonDesign drawing standards and participate in construction administration activities.
• Assist in marketing campaigns.
