Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Project Design Manager to lead a design team across projects, guiding space planning, FF&E, and documentation from concept through construction. You’ll manage timelines and budgets while ensuring code compliance and client satisfaction.

This role supports hybrid or remote work options and offers a path to influence workplace standards across client accounts. A strong Revit background and a collaborative approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design (CIDA/NAAB accredited)
• 4+ years of professional design experience
• 4+ years of Revit experience in a professional setting
• Proficiency in architectural drawings, concepts & design
• Strong time management and communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to lead a team and delegate work for independent execution
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners for effective service delivery
• Know how to document client goals, space needs, budgets and outcomes

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design professionals from sketch through construction.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, standards, and resources.
• Support Project Designers in quality review of deliverables.
• Communicate new processes and standards to the team.
• Review preliminary space plans to ensure safety, function, aesthetics and code compliance.
• Oversee furniture, fixtures and equipment selections and specs.
• Provide ongoing training on space planning, design, and FF&E services.
• Develop client workplace standards and pursue continuous improvements.
• Contribute knowledge on interior materials, finishes, lighting, acoustics and ergonomics.
• Perform conceptual to construction documentation and coordinate with third-party architects/engineers.
• Provide rapid FF&E vendor knowledge to the team.
